I recently decided that using my Razer Copperhead, Logitech G15, and dual booting was too much inconvenience. The G15 requires legacy USB support to be on in order to respond during the OS selection period, while the Copperhead requires legacy USB support to be off in order for Razer’s driver to recognize it (period) and for Windows to detect it on boot-up. The reset button on the Copperhead doesn’t get it detected either; I always have to unplug it.
So I decided to try out A4tech‘s laser mouse, the X-750BF. This piece of hardware can be had for ~$30 USD. Let’s see if it’s worth it.
The main features of this mouse can be viewed on A4tech’s website, but include:
-Resolutions from 600dpi to 2500dpi with on-the-fly dpi switching (no driver needed)
-7080 frames per second tracking (6.4 megapixels/second)
-Max acceleration of 20g
-Max linear speed of 45in./second depending on surface
-Programmable buttons and a ’3xFire’ button that acts as three left-clicks
Here’s everything that comes in the box:Page 2 | Page 3 |
