As you can see…

…the new website design is up.  It’s simple and clean, but I’m starting to think that maybe it’s too simple.  I don’t want people to see my website and be like, “oh, it’s simple looking, therefore the content within must be simple.”  That would suck.

If you read this, consider shooting me an e-mail or leaving a comment.  Let me know what you think of the new site design.  You can do so anonymously, which means you can trash it all you want, and there will be no repercussions.  And if you feel like the design deserves it, please do.

Seriously.  I want feedback, even if it’s negative.

Thanks!

I checked my ReviewDesk e-mail finally…

…and there was an offer to review a power supply. Unfortunately, it was about a month old, but I told them that if they’re still interested in sending it, I’m interested in reviewing it.

Therefore, there may just be a new review to go along with the new design I’ve been working on.

Speaking of the new design, it’s pretty sweet looking so far. I’m actually really close to being finished, so it should be up within the next couple of days. Hopefully you’ll like it as much as I do.

Alright, I’m going for it.

I found some time, so I’m going to redo the design of this website.

I’m going to try and make it look as professional as possible, and have it be completely viewable at 800×600 (something I like to do with all websites I make).

Here we go!

Now that I’m pro with CSS…

This website is the first site I ever designed with CSS. That’s why it’s simple.

Since the creation of this website, I have designed a few others, and have gotten pretty good with CSS. Because of this, I’ve been considering maybe redesigning ReviewDesk.com. The only problem with this is time.

You’re probably wondering, “If you’re such a pro at CSS, then why does it take you so much time?” The short answer is: cross-browser compatibility. CSS is rendered differently in different aspects on all the different browsers out there. It sucks. I can make a sweet design that looks super awesome in Firefox in 1-2 days, in my spare time. But then guess what happens when I look at it in Internet Explorer or perhaps even Opera? It looks all stupid.

So, let’s see. Maybe if I can get the motivation to write a few more reviews, I’ll go ahead and take the leap and make a new design. I want to write reviews, I really do, but I’m so busy. It sucks.

That’s totally a face.
