I gave up on heavy overclocking since this is my main computer and I don’t actually want it to explode. I honestly wouldn’t have cared if it DID explode, but since it didn’t, I don’t want to try and make it. In conclusion, the water cooler, as cheap and lame as it is, actually does a really good job at keeping my computer cool. If it wasn’t so loud and annoying, I would recommend the cooler to everyone! (Edit: Please read the last paragraph for the truth about this hardware.) No, this thing isn’t meant to keep up with the more expensive water coolers, so we shouldn’t expect it to. This is an out-of-the-box-ready-to-go setup and it has worked really well for what it is. If my motherboard/ram/processor were more stable, I’m sure I could have overclocked this computer like crazy. I guess my hardware just isn’t as overclockable as some other equipment. I’m okay with that, though, as I don’t really care about the extra speed. It was more for fun, anyway.

Would I do it again if I had it all to do over? Well, if my computer actually COULD be overclocked properly without crying and running to its mommy, I would say that yes, I would definitely do it all over again. Since I can’t overclock my system much at all, I guess I would have just stuck with my good ol’ heatsink and fan. If you’re looking to overclock your system really cheaply and without much hassle, I would recommend this product to you, even as flimsy as it is. I’m still using the water-cooler on my system, and after running applications that are meant to stress the system, it never runs more than a couple degrees hotter than my room. You’ll be able to overclock with this setup no problem and without much trouble. It’s not the best out there, but like Bacardi and Cola, it gets the job done.

Conclusion Amendment: Today is the day after I installed this water cooler. I am very unhappy because, like an idiot, I did not keep a watchful eye on my processor temperature. My motherboard is supposed to shut the computer down INSTANTLY when the CPU temperature reaches above 60 degrees Celsius. Today while I was checking my e-mail and doing a little web browsing, my computer restarted out of nowhere. After the computer restarted, it started going into this loop of restarts each second. I’m not sure why it restarts instead of shutting down, but that’s what it does. I held down the “OFF” button for 5 seconds and let it shut down for a couple minutes. I turned it back on and got into the BIOS quickly to check the temperature. I was quite frightened/amazed at what I saw as the temperature reading: 90 degrees Celsius! I don’t know if this was an error or what, but I honestly don’t think it was. 90 degrees Celsius is 167 degrees Fahrenheit! Holy crap! I have NO idea why my computer didn’t shut down sooner, but I decided that I had to investigate further immediately. I tore off the water-block and noticed that it was really freakin’ hot. I then turned on the computer again just for a second to see if the pump was still working and, guess what, IT WASN’T. The pump on this “G-Cooler” was shot already! After only ONE day of run time, the pump went out. I don’t know if this was just a faulty product and maybe that’s why it was in the garage sale area of coolerguys.com, but I’m really surprised at how fast this thing broke. I guess you can’t expect too much when the pump on the thing is the size of a windshield-wiper fluid pump. I was hopeful when I purchased it, but I am now a bit sorry that I did. Obviously coolerguys.com knew this was a crappy product and that’s why they no longer sell them, but no one could have guessed HOW crappy it really was. I’m here to say that, yes, it is super-crappy. Don’t purchase one of these bastards, ’cause you’ll be sorry if you do. I think.
