How to Play Old Snakey in 10 Easy Steps

In the English version of Gmail (and perhaps some other versions?), you are able to access a ‘Labs’ tab inside Gmail. From this ‘Labs’ tab, you are able to select the option to play a game within Gmail… quite possibly the best game ever made.

…okay, maybe not the best game ever made, but it’s still pretty neat. Perhaps you’re wondering, “How can I, too, play Old Snakey?” To those of you who are asking this question, here you go:


How do I play Old Snakey in Gmail?

Step One: Get a Gmail Account here.

Step Two: Click on ‘Setting’ in the upper right portion of the Gmail screen.

Step Three: Go to the ‘Keyboard shortcuts’ section (under the ‘General’ tab) and select “Keyboard shortcuts on.”

Step 3

Step Four: Scroll down to the bottom and click the ‘Save Changes’ button.

Step 4

Step Five: Click on the ‘Labs’ tab.

Step 5

Step Six: Scroll down to ‘Old Snakey’ and select “Enable.”

Step 6

Step Seven: Scroll down to the bottom and click the ‘Save Changes’ button.

Step 7

Step Eight: Go to your inbox.

Step Nine: Hold down the Shift key and select ‘&‘ (number 7) from the top row of the numbers on your keyboard.
