The viewing angle on this monitor is pretty damn good, just check out the pictures above. The viewing angle isn’t amazing, but it’s pretty good as far as LCD monitors go. There are monitors the have special coatings that make the monitors have virtually no distortion when looking at even an intense angle, but they often make the monitor have a huge glare problem. Those coating also make individual pixels less noticeable and everything a little bit clearer, but that glare problem just kills me. Without a coating, the 160deg viewing angle on this monitor is impressive.

The pixel pitch is .282mm, which seems to be pretty standard on this size monitor. Yes, the pixel size isn’t amazing, but all text is still very clear (once running the Auto-Config) and all images are as sharp as I could ask for.

The brightness on this monitor is more than anyone should ever need. I imagine that over time, the monitor will naturally begin to get dimmer with age, and I’m pretty confident that the brightness capability will more than make up for it. The backlighting will most likely go out before you’ll have to worry about brightness problems. The backlighting is fantastic on this monitor. When I first ran the monitor, there was a small, noticeable amount of backlight bleeding. After running it for about a week, I went to take a picture of the backlight bleeding, and it was gone. The picture came out completely black, so it’s not even worth posting. I’m not sure if it was the Auto-Config that fixed it, or just the fact that I used it for a little while, but either way, I’m not complaining. The contrast ratio is higher than I’ll ever need at 700:1. Many people claim that a contrast ratio of 1000:1 will make everything look much better than a 700:1, but I’m going to call “BS.” No one should have their contrast turned all the way up, anyway. That’s just my opinion, though, so maybe if you’ve got super-human vision, you can call me an idiot for my statements. Otherwise, I’m sticking to them. The brightness and contrast capabilities of this monitor are more than enough.
