Final Thoughts

If you are in the market for a budget powerhouse board and don’t need firewire, IDE, or USB 3.0 internal ports, this is the board to get. MSi has provided a board that is incredibly cheap and makes overclocking fairly simple. It takes the guess work out of getting a solid, stable overclock and taking full advantage of your latest top-of-the-line processors.

However, if I had to say something bad, it’s got to be about the software that’s bundled with it. I chose not to use anything it came with, and OC Genie (the software overclock method) does not provide as good of an overclock and uses much more voltage than needed — it spiked my RAM voltage to 1.65v for no real reason. The instructions and bundled software belong in the trash but this board is definitely one to keep.

Although the MSI P67A-G43 motherboard isn’t perfect, it certainly gets the job done well, and because of this, I’m going to give it a solid rating of 8.0.
