Conclusions

Positives

– The case is large, and can therefore fit everything you’d ever need.
– It’s attractive, kind of a like a 70’s stereo amplifier.
– The two included fans do a good job of keeping it cool.

Negatives

– The removable hard drive bays don’t slide smoothly.
– No removable motherboard tray or thumbscrews.

Eh

I’m not sure how I feel about the integrated drive bezel. On one hand, it looks better than a black drive, on the other, it’s kind of difficult to install properly. I also noticed that my drive’s tray drops slightly when opened, leading to it snagging before closing. I’d probably just prefer to have it covered like the rest of the bays.

The Bottom Line

Overall, it’s a good, solid case. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but it gets the job done, and there aren’t a lot of other HTPC case options that are equally voluminous. The market price for the GD03 seems to be around $160 to $170 USD, which is a big chunk of change, so if you don’t need the space, I’d probably shop around a bit more. But, it looks good, and it’s well made… so if you need a big HTPC case, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this one.
