I’d freely recommend this phone to all of my friends and family. This phone does everything that I need, and the some. The MP3 Walkman capability is beautiful and the photos that can be taken with this phone are awesome. The camera lens is a little unprotected, but I’m not too worried, because it’s recessed enough to where it shouldn’t get damaged too easily. The keypad and all the buttons have a nice feel and are quite big enough for me. The screen is very nice and provides enough colors for anything to look pretty good. The Java gaming capability is great, and it’s really simple to load your Java midlets and use them right away. The input/charging socket plug is a little lame, because it seems easily-breakable and flimsy, but it gets the job done and actually works pretty nicely. The speakerphone works well, and while it might be a little on the quiet side, sounds pretty decent. It’s ridiculously hard to get the door for the Memory Stick Pro Duo open, but you only have to do it once in awhile, so it’s not a big deal. The video quality is pretty good, and the flashlight works pretty well for it. This phone is genuinely sweet, and I would suggest that, if you’re in the market for a non-SmartPhone, you should take a good, long look at the W810i. It’s splendid.
Check out these pictures for a look at the quality of the pictures this phone takes:
3 –
– Tanooki in the dark WITH flash.
4 –
– Box that it came in w/ no flash.
Be sure to take a look at Sony’s website to play with the phone, virtually.
