The picture quality on this camera is very decent. Really, the amount of megapixels when it comes to digital cameras, surprisingly, doesn’t make that big of a difference. It’s all about the image sensor. A camera with an insane amount of megapixels can still take not-so-good photos. Luckily, this camera is pretty good in the image quality department. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that it’s GREAT, but it’s really very decent. Also, when you’ve got the image stabilization on, it makes the images look a little worse, so I’d say you should only use it if you need it. I’ve seen cameras featuring less megapixels take better looking pictures, but I haven’t seen a camera with this many options that takes pictures this good. I’ll let you see for yourself with the photo quality. Be sure to check out the photos at the end of the page.
Overall, this camera is fantastic. The only place it is even slightly lacking is in the image quality department. You might be thinking, “hey, it’s a camera, what other job does it have?” Well, first of all, the image quality just isn’t amazing. For as many megapixels as it is, you’d think it would have better quality, but it’s still really good. The user interface on the camera is superb, and its construction is top-notch. It’s really very esthetically pleasing, too, with it’s brushed aluminum and stainless steel housing. Want colors? Well, it also comes in blue and pink, if you’re into that. The screen on the camera is fantastic and really BIG. This camera has a whole lot of features, many more than most people will need, but they’re there if you need ‘em. You can customize how your picture will be taken to the last detail, so any photography fanatic should be pleased. I would highly suggest this camera to anyone who is looking for a small, low-priced point-and-shoot with a lot of features.
Here are some pictures that I took with the camera to show the photo quality. They don’t have any specific settings, just maybe some zoom. They were all taken with automatic settings.
